Dr. Noah H. Kersey is a retired licensed psychologist who is the subject of the film Prisoner of Hope.

Dr. Kersey graduated in 1988 from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he earned his doctoral degree in an APA accredited psychology program. His APA accredited pre-doctoral internship was completed at Indiana University-Bloomington in the University Health Center.

In 1983, Dr. Kersey earned a master's degree in psychology from Georgia State University, and in 1978, he completed his undergraduate education in Psychology at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.

He provided mental health services from 1977 through 2009 and practiced extensively in the areas of crisis intervention/emergency mental health services, community mental health at university counseling centers and in medical settings.

For thirty-two years, Dr. Kersey provided clinical services for individuals, couples, families, and groups. He is currently retired, residing in central Florida and was a licensed psychologist practicing in Indiana since 1987.
