The shift is already happening. The real opportunity now is for independent producers to stop thinking locally from day one the right partner, financing or audience may be in a completely different market. That’s becoming less of an exception and more part of how films get made.

One thing filmmakers often discover too late is what happens after the film is finished. Knowing how sales, distribution and rights actually work can be just as important as knowing how to make the film. I’d love to see more filmmaking courses connect those two sides.
