Hello everyone,
I’d like to introduce NIMOOS, an original animated adventure universe set in a mysterious civilization hidden almost 11,000 meters beneath the ocean.
NIMOOS is currently in development and is already beyond the initial idea stage.
The project currently includes:
• a developed story and screenplay materials
• main and supporting characters
• original creatures and underwater predators
• key environments and locations
• the concept of the NIMOOS underwater civilization
• ideas for future episodes and the larger story world
• an AI-assisted cinematic concept trailer
The current trailer is an early visual proof of concept created to explore the atmosphere, movement and cinematic potential of NIMOOS. It is not the final animation style or a finished pilot.
The next stage is to develop NIMOOS with stronger character consistency, professional animation, sound, voice work and storytelling, with the goal of creating a strong pilot and developing the project toward an international animated series.
We are currently open to conversations with:
• Film and animation financing partners
• Strategic investors
• Production companies
• Co-production partners
• Animation studios
• Distribution and streaming partners
We are particularly interested in partners who understand the long-term potential of original animation IP and are interested in helping develop NIMOOS from its current stage into a professionally produced property.

How is it going?

Interesting project. What would your ideal first partner look like at this stage: a financing partner to support the next phase of development, or an experienced animation producer/studio that could also help shape the project creatively and from a production perspective?

Hi Michael, thank you — that’s a very good question.
At this stage, my ideal first partner would probably be an experienced animation producer or studio with strong development and production experience, ideally someone who also understands co-production and financing.
NIMOOS already has its world, core characters, concept trailer and story direction. What I want now is to build the project into a strong industry-ready package — series bible, pilot script, production approach and financing strategy.
So I’m open to financing partners as well, but I believe the right producer/studio could bring much more value at this stage by helping shape the project and connecting it with the right financing and distribution partners.
If you have any thoughts on what type of partner or company might be the best fit for NIMOOS, I’d really value your opinion

How is it going?
Hi! Thank you for asking. NIMOOS is moving forward. The concept trailer is ready, and we are currently developing the series bible, pilot script and the full development package. At the same time, we are looking for an experienced animation producer, co-production partner and potential financing partners.

Did you create the concept trailer entirely yourselves, or did you work with other creators on it? It looks really good. I’d also be curious to know which country in Europe you’re developing NIMOOS from, especially as that could be relevant when exploring future co-production opportunities.

I’m developing NIMOOS from Germany.
The concept, world, characters and story direction are mine. I also developed the idea and structure for the concept trailer, prepared the script, visual references and images, and used AI tools as a creative assistant during the development process. I then worked with an external creator who produced and assembled the trailer based on my materials and creative direction.
The trailer is intended as a proof of concept to communicate the atmosphere, world and potential of NIMOOS rather than to represent the final production style.
I’m very interested in European co-production opportunities. If you think Germany or another European country could offer a strong route for NIMOOS, I’d really appreciate your thoughts and any recommendations you may have.
And if you see any way you could be involved yourself, or if you think there could be an opportunity for us to collaborate in some form, I’d be very happy to discuss it further with you privately.

One practical point I’d add is to make sure the chain of title is completely clean before taking NIMOOS too far into the market. With original characters, an external trailer creator and AI-assisted development involved, every contribution, asset and underlying right should be clearly documented. If ownership or usage-right issues only surface during sales or negotiations, they can quickly turn into serious disputes and potentially jeopardize a deal. Much easier to solve these questions before a buyer, distributor or financing partner is already at the table.
