I’m looking to connect with writers, filmmakers, and producers who are currently working on film projects.

I’m open to different genres, including romance, thriller, comedy, and more, and interested in projects at the treatment, screenplay, or packaging stage.

If you’re working on a project, feel free to introduce yourself and share a little about it. I’d love to hear what everyone is working on and connect with people who are open to collaboration.

One thing that might help is being a bit more specific about what you bring to a project. Are you mainly offering editing support, or are you looking to get involved more broadly in the development process? That could make it easier for the right people to connect with you.

Beat me to it Samantha

James, one thing that could really help is showing filmmakers how you approach a story, not just which genres you're interested in.

Even a short editing sample or showreel can tell a potential collaborator a lot about your creative instincts.

Is there a particular scene or project you've worked on that best represents your style? It would be great to see it here.

Thanks for the suggestion. My main interest is in connecting with people who have promising film projects, learning more about their development stage, and understanding what they may need to move forward. I’m also interested in hearing about projects that could benefit from further development or constructive feedback before moving toward packaging and presentation to potential producers or buyers. I hope that clarifies the kind of connections I’m looking to make.

I agree that understanding how a story is approached can tell you a lot about a project and the people behind it. I’m currently focused on connecting with writers, filmmakers, and producers and learning more about the projects they’re developing. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

Interesting discussion, James.

I think one of the biggest challenges in independent filmmaking is finding the right people at the right stage of a project. A great script doesn't necessarily need a producer straight away. Sometimes an honest outside perspective can be just as valuable.

And that's where conversations like this can make a real difference. You never know which connection might lead to something worthwhile.

Thank you! I agree that finding the right people at the right stage is very important. Sometimes, a fresh perspective can make a real difference to a project. I'm curious, are you currently working on any film projects yourself, or are you mainly focused on connecting with other filmmakers?
