Reality really has a way of trying to convince you that your dreams are just "delusional" especially when school gets in the way and family is hard to convince. But sometimes, reality needs to take a break.I just got an email from another film platform "Thank you for being among the first 100...

That’s a spoton point, George You definitely see people writing 'contained scripts one location, tiny casts' just to actually get them funded. Constraints can spark great creativity, but it sucks if writers feel forced to shrink their stories just to stand a chance. Thanks, George for the...

I really agree with this. The mid-budget space feels especially important because it gives filmmakers room to tell original stories without everything needing to be either a massive franchise event or a very low-cost production. As someone who’s still learning and developing original projects...

Hey Miranda! This sounds really interesting. I love seeing young producers taking the initiative to actually get their projects moving instead of just keeping them as ideas. I’ll definitely check out the teaser. The mass-surveillance angle sounds like it could make for a really fun and...

agree. I think a location can quietly tell the audience things about a character before the character says anything. I especially like the idea of locations changing meaning as the story develops. As a writer, I think asking “Why this location?” can be just as important as asking what happens in...

I really like the idea of testing the part where several difficulties overlap. I think that's probably more revealng than testing one impressive shot by itself I'd also be interested in seeing how much of the intended story or emotion survives the test. A sequence can technically work, but if...

Thank you very much, George. Yes, every project does have somewhere to start. Savage smile, though, on social media it's at zero, but it has 94% of what it needs; it's just lacking a team or collab. Thanks very much

SAVAGE SMILE now has an official Instagram account. And honestly? I’m starting from zero. like you know 😭... Zero followers. Zero audience. Zero budget. But the screenplay is there, the vision is there, and now I’m trying to take the next step: finding filmmakers, collaborators, and people who...

Thank you so much! Cinema Doktor I really appreciate your encouragement and your kind words. I'd definitely love to share more about Savage Smile as it continues to develop. Right now I'm still revising the screenplay based on professional feedback, but once I'm happy with the next draft...

thank you FILMPLATFORM

LIKEEE When I first joined this community, my goal was simply to learn from experienced filmmakers and improve my writing. Today I received an invitation from the FilmPlatforms team to participate in their Industry Spotlight interview series, where they'll be featuring my journey as a young...

That's a great point, Lucas. I think I'm learning that lesson right now. After receiving detailed feedback on my screenplay, I realized that rewriting isn't about changing scenes just for the sake of it—it's about making every scene clearer, stronger, and more emotionally impactful. 😅 Fresh...

Today wasn't about writing new pages—it was about refining old ones. Sometimes a single line of dialogue or a small scene change can completely change how a character feels. It's easy to focus on finishing a screenplay, but I've learned that polishing it is where the story really finds its...

Thank you, Peter, for sharing your experience. One thing that really stood out to me was your pont that directing is about leadership, not control. As someone who's still learning filmmaking, it's easy to focus on cameras, effects, or technology, but this remeinded me that the most important...
