Great to see more London-based indie projects heating up for the late summer pipeline. Mandy is always a standard go-to, but it’s definitely useful to have these hyper-local listings pop up across different platforms.

Whenever my team is spinning up a new project and looking to expand our post roster whether for Assistant Editors who actually know how to manage clean proxy workflows, or sharp Sound Designers we usually cross-reference a few different places. Aside from Mandy, we've had a lot of success using ProductionHUB and the BECTU Crew Directory for sourcing vetted UK freelancers, though keeping an eye on focused industry boards like this one is always a smart backup to catch talent you might miss otherwise.

Are you guys seeing a noticeable shift in London right now with more indie productions bypass-listing the traditional giant crew sites entirely, or is it still mostly a multi-platform cross-posting game for most PMs?

One thing I keep hearing from editors is that technical editing skills are only half the job.

Many Assistant Editors lose opportunities not because they can't use Premiere, Avid or Resolve, but because they struggle with media management, version control and workflow discipline.

A great Assistant Editor can save a production countless hours simply by keeping projects organized and preventing small mistakes from turning into major post-production problems.

For anyone looking to break into post-production, I've also seen some solid UK opportunities posted through ScreenSkills and The Talent Manager, especially for people trying to build experience and industry connections.

In fast-moving indie productions, reliability and organization are often worth as much as editing talent itself.
