I did some research on Berlinale 2026, and this year’s lineup looks especially strong. Several big names are involved in the competition, including Amy Adams, Channing Tatum, Sandra Hüller, as well as Elle Fanning and Pamela Anderson in new films.
The jury is chaired by Wim Wenders, which says a lot about the artistic direction of this year’s festival, and Michelle Yeoh will receive the Honorary Golden Bear. Genre-wise, the selection is quite diverse, with feature films, documentaries, and even anime competing.

Based on early buzz, the strongest contenders seem to be the performance-driven dramas, but with Berlinale there’s always room for surprises - it wouldn’t be unusual to see a lesser-known director take home the Golden Bear.
