Hi Everyone,
I’m currently in the early development phase of an original dark fantasy series IP titled "RAVANGA," and I’d love to get some insights from experienced producers and creators on the platform regarding project positioning.
The core concept is a premium, live-action dark fantasy centered on complex character dilemmas, a fresh mythology, and a serialized narrative arc. As an emerging creator, my focus is strictly on world-building, narrative, and the Writer/Creator role, with the goal of partnering with an experienced producer or production company to handle development, packaging, and financing.
While the story naturally calls for a large-scale visual scope, a key strategic question has come up during initial discussions:
How do you best balance pitching a high-concept world with big visual ambitions without locking the project into an intimidating budget bracket too early in development?
I’d love to hear your thoughts on:
1. Attracting the right production partner for world-building-heavy IPs before pitching to major streamers.
2. How you usually frame budget scope during early-stage packaging to keep the project attractive yet feasible.
Looking forward to hearing your perspectives and connecting with fellow creators and producers!
Best regards,
László
