Hello everyone,
I’d like to introduce NIMOOS, an original animated adventure universe set in a mysterious civilization hidden almost 11,000 meters beneath the ocean.
NIMOOS is currently in development. The project already includes its core world, main characters, creatures, environments, story development and an AI-assisted cinematic concept trailer.
At the center of the story is Nero, a 15-year-old inhabitant of NIMOOS who begins to discover that the history of his civilization may be incomplete — and that something unknown may exist beyond the borders of his world.
Our long-term goal is to develop NIMOOS into an international animated series.
We are currently interested in connecting with animation producers, animation studios, co-production partners, distributors, streaming partners and potential financing partners or investors interested in original animation IP.
We would also greatly appreciate professional feedback on the concept and advice on the next development steps.

The current trailer is an AI-assisted concept trailer created as an early visual test of the NIMOOS world. It is not the final animation style or finished pilot.
The next stage is to develop NIMOOS with stronger character consistency, professional animation, sound and storytelling.

Your feedback and support are very important to us.
Thank you for taking the time to discover NIMOOS.

Thank you for taking the time to discover NIMOOS.

I watched the concept trailer and visually it looks really impressive. There’s a surprising amount of detail in such a short piece, and you already get a real sense that NIMOOS has its own world and atmosphere.

How far have you developed the series beyond the visual concept do you already have a series bible, pilot script or planned episode structure?

Thank you very much for watching the trailer and for your feedback — I really appreciate it.
NIMOOS has already developed beyond the visual concept stage. We have the core world, main and supporting characters, creatures, key environments, story development and screenplay materials.
We also have a broader direction for the story and ideas for future episodes. The formal series bible is currently being developed further, as we want to strengthen the character arcs, episode structure and overall mythology before presenting it as a complete professional package.
The current trailer was mainly created as an early AI-assisted visual proof of concept. Our next goal is to develop the project into a stronger professional package with a refined series bible, pilot material and a clearer episode structure.
I’d also be very interested in your opinion on what you think would be the most important next step for NIMOOS from an industry perspective.

From an industry perspective, I probably wouldn’t try to approach financiers, distributors and streaming platforms all at once at this stage. I think the trailer is already strong enough to attract attention, but the next important step would be putting together a concise, professional development package where the series bible, pilot material, character arcs and episode structure all work together.

Once that’s in place, I’d probably focus first on finding an animation producer or co-production partner who can help develop NIMOOS not only creatively, but also from a production and financing perspective.

It may be worth looking at companies and platforms such as SERU Animation and CEE Animation in Europe, and FableVision Studios / moonladder in the US. Not necessarily to approach them immediately, but to get a sense of the kind of development and co-production partners out there and the level of material you’ll want to have ready before making those approaches.

When you get to the distribution side, feel free to reach out to me privately and I’d be happy to share some thoughts on that as well.

Do you already have an idea of the episode length and how many episodes you’re planning for the first season?

Thank you, that’s very helpful.
At the moment, we are thinking of approximately 8 minutes per episode. The exact number of episodes for the first season is still being developed, because we want to make sure the overall story arc and episode structure are strong before fixing the final season length.
Our priority now is to strengthen the series bible, pilot material, character arcs and episode structure before approaching larger financing, distribution or streaming partners.
Your industry perspective is very useful to us. If you have any thoughts on what a strong first-season package for a project like NIMOOS should contain, I’d be very interested to hear them.

Well I will start by saying well done! That concept trailer is pretty good!! What did you use to make it? I'm pretty much at the same stage as yourself so would love to hear how your journey has been so far - what bumps in the road and how you got over them, what plans you have next etc. Would be great to connect!

Hi Anderson,
Thank you very much! I really appreciate your feedback.
The NIMOOS concept trailer was created with the help of AI tools together with editing, sound design, music and several rounds of visual development. The biggest challenge has been keeping the characters and the visual world consistent across different scenes.
I’m currently developing NIMOOS further — working on the series bible, characters, storylines and episode structure. My next goal is to find an experienced animation producer or co-production partner who can help bring the project to the next professional stage and eventually help with financing and production.
I’d also be very interested to hear about your project and your experience so far. It would definitely be great to connect and exchange ideas.

Thank you again — your advice has been very useful.
You mentioned that I could reach out to you privately when we get closer to the distribution stage, so I was curious — what area of the industry do you personally work in?
Are you mainly involved in distribution, production, financing or another part of the film industry?
I’d be very interested to understand your background and experience, especially because your perspective on NIMOOS has been very helpful.

At this stage, I believe an initial development budget of approximately €100,000–€150,000 would be appropriate to take NIMOOS to the next professional level.
This is a preliminary estimate, and the exact budget would depend on the producer, studio and production approach.
The funding would primarily be used for:
• €10,000–€15,000 — Series development and writing
Further development of the series bible, pilot script, character arcs, season story arc and episode structure.
• €10,000–€20,000 — Character and visual development
Professional character sheets, environments, creatures, visual consistency and a clearer production-ready visual direction.
• €50,000–€70,000 — Professional pilot / proof of concept
Storyboarding, animatic, animation, lighting, compositing and production of a high-quality pilot or strong professional proof of concept.
• €5,000–€10,000 — Sound, voices and music
Voice recording, sound design, mixing and original or properly licensed music.
• €10,000–€15,000 — Production planning and professional support
Producer involvement, production schedule, budgeting, legal/IP consultation and preparation for co-production.
• €5,000–€10,000 — Pitching and industry preparation
Professional pitch materials, presentations, market preparation and materials for studios, co-producers, distributors and future financing discussions.
• Remaining budget — contingency and development reserve
For revisions, additional production work and unexpected development costs.
This is my first project at this scale, so I’m not only looking for financing. I’m also looking for an experienced producer or strategic partner who understands animation development, production, financing and distribution.
I have a strong vision for NIMOOS and have already developed the world, characters, story and visual direction. I believe that with the right experienced partner, we can structure the project professionally and develop NIMOOS into something much larger internationally.
I’m open to discussing both the exact budget and the partnership structure with the right investor, producer or co-production partner.

Michail. Thank you for that response - it really explained your pathway and clearly outlines your next steps. I envy the fact you have the knowledge to do that yourself. I have had to learn everything from the ground upwards, using AI as a companion to advise on next steps and to learn what each involves along the way. If you would like to know what I have going on, please feel free to check my link: Anderson-Mark-Ian.github.com

Looking forward to hearing more!
