The Journey: A Cornhole Story

My name is Ken Holton, and for the past year I’ve been filming a documentary about using cornhole to rebuild my life while chasing the goal of becoming a professional player.

During my first season, I reached Ohio’s ACO Top 100, competed at my first Major, and made it to the World Championships. The documentary is now about a year into production. Filming is roughly halfway complete, editing has started, and I’m aiming to finish in early-to-mid 2028.

There is another Major taking place in Ohio this weekend. It is exactly the kind of event this documentary needs to cover, but as of right now, the funding is not there for me to attend, compete, and film it. That is the reality of trying to make this project independently every missed event can mean a missing chapter in the story.

I’m currently looking for:

• Immediate help covering tournament, travel, and filming expenses
• Sponsors and financial partners
• Producers or executive producers
• Editing and post-production support
• Film grants and financing connections
• Distribution, streaming, and festival guidance

The working budget is approximately $15,000. I can provide more information and sample footage to serious potential partners.
