Welcome to FilmPlatforms – Introduce Yourself

Hi everyone,

Welcome to FilmPlatforms.
This community was created for thoughtful, experience-based
discussion about filmmaking and the industry.
If you’re new here, feel free to introduce yourself:
what you do, what you’re interested in,
and what you’re hoping to learn or share.

Glad to have you here.

My name is Demetrious Edwards, Owner and Founder of The Original Outlaw TV, an independent film production company focused on producing and distributing independent feature films. We currently have nine films available across platforms including Tubi, Amazon Prime Video, Flawsome TV, and Swank TV.
Our first six films generated approximately $10,000 in receipts last quarter. In addition, we have signed three distribution agreements with BayView Entertainment, covering a total of 15 titles. With typical production budgets under $20,000 per film, we are seeking a strategic financing or co-production partner to support our next phase of growth.
We are currently exploring an illustrative $30,000 financing opportunity to produce two upcoming feature films, subject to finalized budgets and mutually agreed terms. This partnership would help us continue building our film catalog, strengthen our distribution pipeline, and increase our production capacity while maintaining the creative identity Of The Original Outlaw Tv

Welcome to FilmPlatforms, Demetrious!

It's interesting to see how you're building a film catalogue with relatively modest production budgets and an established distribution pipeline. That's a practical side of independent filmmaking we don't hear enough about.

Your experience could offer some valuable insights to other filmmakers navigating production, distribution, and financing.

Feel free to start a dedicated thread about your upcoming projects and the kind of financing or co-production partnership you're looking for. It would be great to learn more about your plans and what you're bringing to a potential collaboration.

Glad to have you in the community!
