How we keep FilmPlatforms respectful, useful, and professional
FilmPlatforms exists to support thoughtful discussion, shared knowledge, and real-world experience within the filmmaking community. To keep this space valuable for everyone, we ask all members to follow the guidelines below.
1. Be Respectful
Treat other members with respect. Disagreement is welcome, personal attacks are not. Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
2. Keep Discussions Constructive
Critique ideas, not people. When offering feedback, aim to be helpful, clear, and grounded in experience. Low-effort or inflammatory posts may be removed.
3. Stay On Topic
Post in the appropriate forum and keep threads focused. Off-topic or repetitive posts may be moved or closed to maintain clarity and usefulness.
4. No Spam or Self-Promotion
Unsolicited advertising, spam, or excessive self-promotion is not allowed. Sharing your work is welcome when it is relevant and contributes to the discussion.
5. Professional Conduct
FilmPlatforms is a professional community. We encourage thoughtful, experience-based contributions and discourage rumor, misinformation, or bad-faith participation.
6. Moderation
Moderators may edit, move, or remove content that violates these guidelines. Repeated or serious violations may result in warnings or account suspension.
