Beginner and Professional Accounts
FilmPlatforms offers two types of access: Standard (Beginner) and Professional. Both are free to use. The difference lies in which sections and features are available.
Standard (Beginner) Filmmakers
- Access to a wide range of discussions and community features
- Some areas and tools are limited until Professional access is granted
- Professional-only sections are not visible to standard accounts
Professional Access
Professional members gain access to dedicated sections that are not available to standard users. At the same time, Professional members can view and participate in all standard areas of the platform.
In short: Professional members see everything, while standard members see only the sections available to them.
How to Apply for Professional Access
On the homepage, you will find the Professional ACCESS area. Applications can be submitted through the Professional Verification Application section.
During the application process, we ask for professional experience (such as projects, roles, credits, crew work, or relevant industry involvement). We do not ask for a résumé or CV.
We do not request sensitive or personal information. The purpose of verification is solely to ensure that Professional sections remain focused on real-world industry experience.
Pricing and Access
Important: FilmPlatforms is free to use for both standard and Professional filmmakers.
