Hey everyone,

I love filmmaking, and I just wanted to create something that helps average indie filmmakers get paid fairly. I built ShadowReel, a platform where you can keep 60% of your earnings from your fans before your movie goes to big streaming platforms like Amazon or iTunes.

I’d love for you guys to try it out, if you like it, awesome, if not, that’s totally cool too. No stress, no complicated contracts, just a place to share your work and get paid.

Check it out here,

Hey,

First of all, I genuinely appreciate the idea behind ShadowReel. Any project that aims to help indie filmmakers earn more from their work is definitely a positive initiative.
That said, just as constructive feedback, the platform might come across as more trustworthy if some standard elements commonly expected from serious websites were clearly available. Things like company information, a Contact page, Terms & Rules, Privacy Policy, Help section, etc., are generally considered basic across most industries. When these are missing, many creators may naturally feel more cautious, regardless of the platform’s actual intentions.
There are also quite a few similar services out there. While they may not promise such high revenue shares, they typically emphasize transparency and legal clarity, which often plays a major role in building user confidence.

Of course, this is only my personal opinion, shared with good intentions. I hope it’s helpful, and I wish you success with the project.
