Project Description

Extinction Event (EE) is an independent 2D anime-inspired series currently in development.

The story follows four main characters: Sol, Mint, Fizzy, and Eclipse. The series features original characters, worldbuilding, lore, abilities, and an overarching storyline.

The goal is to develop EE into a full animated series with its own identity, visual style, and storytelling.

I'm currently working toward building a dedicated team of people who are interested in helping make that happen.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will depend on the position you apply for. Contributors will work within their respective departments and collaborate with other team members to help develop the series.

Communication, reliability, creativity, and willingness to work together are important.

Start Date / Duration:
Flexible start date. This is an ongoing project, and schedules and workloads will be discussed with contributors.

Compensation / Financial Arrangement:

This is currently an unpaid, voluntary passion project. I cannot offer payment at this time.

Contributors will receive proper credit for their work. Any expectations regarding workload, contributions, and ownership will be discussed and agreed upon beforehand.

A Final Note

I'm hoping to build a team of people who genuinely enjoy creating things and want to be part of an independent animated project.

You don't have to be a professional or have years of experience. What matters is your interest in the project, willingness to collaborate, and ability to communicate.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I look forward to seeing who might be interested in joining Extinction Event!

Ashen, putting together an animation project of this scale with an entirely unpaid team seems extremely difficult, perhaps almost impossible.

I had experience with similar volunteer creative projects more than ten years ago, and they didn't really work even back then. Progress was very slow because everyone had regular jobs and other responsibilities, so the project naturally became a secondary priority. I imagine it's even harder today.

I'm curious how far EE has progressed so far. Do you already have character designs, completed scripts, or animation tests? And how do you plan to keep such a large volunteer team motivated and committed over time?

I completely understand where you're coming from, and honestly, it's something I've thought about myself.

EE is still in development, and while I've made progress with the characters, worldbuilding, abilities, and overall story, there's definitely still a lot to do.

I understand that keeping a volunteer team motivated will be one of the biggest challenges. My current goal is to start small, find people who genuinely enjoy the project, and gradually build a team rather than trying to produce everything at once.

I don't expect everything to happen overnight. I know this will take time, and I'm willing to put that time into it.

I appreciate the honesty, though. It's something worth thinking about.
