GOLEM – THE GOLEM SAGA
ONE UNIVERSE · TWO TIMELINES · ONE EPIC STORY
What happens when artificial intelligence evolves beyond its original purpose – and becomes a force capable of shaping the future of civilization?
GOLEM is an established science-fiction literary universe created by German authors Michael and Susanne Rodewald. It currently comprises 13 completed novels, with a 14th in development.
THE STORY UNIVERSE
GOLEM connects two narrative timelines:
REALITY – A near-future science-fiction thriller rooted in technological developments, artificial intelligence, political power, and the consequences of human decisions.
FUTURE – An expansive science-fiction saga exploring humanity’s evolution, interplanetary civilization, and the growing autonomy of artificial intelligence.
Both timelines form a connected narrative universe with opportunities for long-form storytelling and future expansion.
ADAPTATION & DEVELOPMENT
We envision GOLEM primarily as an international television or streaming series.
The adaptation does not need to begin with the most expensive elements of the universe.
A character-driven, technology-focused opening within the Reality storyline offers a potentially budget-conscious entry point, allowing the production scale and visual ambition to grow as the story develops.
The scope, structure, and production approach would be developed collaboratively with an experienced production partner.
CURRENT DEVELOPMENT STATUS
The underlying literary universe is established, and extensive development and presentation materials have been prepared, including:
• Studio Deck
• Executive Treatment
• Additional series-development and background materials
The Studio Deck and Executive Treatment are available to verified industry professionals following genuine, serious interest. More detailed materials remain confidential at this stage.
THE PARTNERSHIP WE ARE SEEKING
We are looking for an established international film or television production company, or an experienced producer with access to the creative, financing, development, and distribution relationships required to advance a project of this scale.
We are open to professional adaptation, creative collaboration, and a commercially realistic development strategy.
As the original authors and creators, we see ourselves as guardians of the story rather than creative controllers.
We would welcome discussions with producers who have experience in developing literary intellectual property for the screen.
