I've watched a few of the filmmaking classes, and what stood out to me wasn't necessarily the technical advice it was hearing how different filmmakers approach the same creative problem.

You quickly realize there's no single "correct" way to direct or tell a story. Seeing how people like Scorsese, Cameron or Herzog think through decisions is probably the biggest value of the platform.

I've found that the biggest value isn't learning camera settings or directing techniques it's understanding how experienced filmmakers think through creative and production decisions.

No online course can replace making films, but listening to people who've spent decades in the industry can definitely help you avoid some expensive mistakes.
