I am the managing representative and 50% rights-holder for the literary estate of Bramwell Fletcher. I hold full legal and administrative control over a previously unreleased, historical memior/ manuscript Titled: "The Thistleball" Story of an Actor's Life, By Bramwell Fletcher with the typewritten provenance established by Lael Wertenbaker ). Per the initial representation contract signed by the Fletcher heirs, I am the sole point of contact for this estate, regarding the manuscript. The heirs may only be contacted with my express, written permission, and all final publishing and or production and contractual decisions go strictly through me.

That’s very interesting, and it sounds like the manuscript has significant historical and literary value. Having clear representation and rights documentation in place is especially important for a previously unreleased work. I’d be interested in learning more about the manuscript and any publishing or screen adaptation plans you’re currently considering.

Great to see the portal is live, Jim. This could be a good time to start looking at production companies that work with literary IP and historical or biographical material. Mazur Kaplan and Pioneer Pictures might be worth researching to see if The Thistleball could fit what they develop. Having the portal up should make it much easier to introduce the project too.

That raises an interesting question, Jim. Are there other notable film or theatre figures in the manuscript where Bramwell shares first-hand stories or observations that may not have been documented elsewhere?

If so, that could become an important part of how the manuscript is positioned to publishers or producers, beyond Bramwell’s own story.

Hi Ryan,
Yes! The whole manuscript is chocked full of Bramwell's first person account of his life and all the incredible artists ,and poets, and famous actors, stage and film stars, his personal life things that nobody alive, except for a few, have ever heard about! It reads like a novel or a film, I'm repeating myself here, but its extraordinary, because he dictated into a recorder, as Bramwell, the Actor, acting out his life story, and then incredibly, he'd hand it off to his wife, "Lael Wertenbaker" and she would typewrite from Brams dictation, you cant put it down, I've read it several times now, and its between 90,000 and 125,000 words, in manuscript format, because of course, Lael Wertenbaker was a famous Author and she knew how format it for Bramwell!
