Please briefly introduce yourself and your company.
Yannick Rudynski
I'm Yannick Rudynski, Founder and CEO of Fizz-e-Motion.
Fizz-e-Motion is an international film distribution company with offices in Vienna and Budapest. We specialize in thrillers, crime, science fiction, romance, and, more generally, English-language content.
What is the biggest challenge facing your part of the film industry today?
The biggest challenge is finding content that distributors actually need.
There is often a gap between market demand and the projects currently available.
What is the most common mistake filmmakers or producers make when approaching your company?
Many filmmakers submit projects that simply don't fit our catalogue, such as short films or experimental productions.
Understanding what a distributor is actively looking for before making contact can make a significant difference.
How difficult is it to secure financing or investors for independent films today, and what advice would you give to producers?
It has become increasingly difficult to secure financing for independent films.
My advice is to present a clear and realistic business case, particularly when explaining the project's expected return on investment (ROI).
What qualities make you want to work with a filmmaker or production company?
Respect and professionalism.
I enjoy working with people who respect others and value long-term professional relationships.
Is there a recent project, film, or initiative you'd like to share with the FilmPlatforms community?
I'm currently developing my own creature feature.
