What Are You Working On? Share Your Project with the FilmPlatforms Community

That’s a really interesting way of finding music. Do you ever record those melodies quickly on your phone when they come to you? I imagine it must be frustrating when you hear something clearly in your head and then lose parts of it before you get back to your instruments.
Yeah, most of the time. I carry my phone everywhere..even to the toilet 😅. Whenever a melody comes to my head, I just hum it into the voice recorder. Sometimes it’s just a small idea or a motif, and then I try to expand it and improvise around it.
But that’s not the only way I compose. Sometimes I just sit in front of a blank DAW project, staring at it without playing a single note for a long time, trying to capture an idea..maybe an intro, an outro, a verse, or whatever comes to mind.
I don’t really compose in a linear way, like intro first, then verse, then chorus. I usually write whatever part comes to me first and then build the rest of the piece around it.

Thanks for creating a space like this. I’m a screenwriter and script developer focused on helping filmmakers and writers strengthen their projects from concept through screenplay development.

My work includes story structure, character development, dialogue, pacing, conflict, stakes, and overall script clarity, with a strong focus on preserving the writer’s original vision while making the story more compelling and production-ready.

I’m currently interested in connecting with writers, directors, producers, and filmmakers developing feature films, series, and other screen projects. I’m especially interested in projects with strong characters, meaningful conflict, and potential for wider audiences.

Looking forward to discovering what everyone is working on and hopefully finding opportunities for creative collaboration.

Am also glad to join this wonder platform. I’m currently working on a few screenwriting and script-editing projects, helping writers strengthen their scripts and prepare them for producers and production opportunities. I’m looking forward to connecting with other filmmakers and creators in the community!

Hello! My name is Rogério Perdiz, and I'm an independent action animation filmmaker.
I grew up watching Action Hero movies, and I've always loved 3D CGI animation and video games. My goal is to tell good, memorable action stories through animation.

I'm not particularly good at making money... we could definitely use an executive producer! 😁 For that reason, our projects tend to take a long time to complete .... many years.

The main project I'm producing and directing at the moment is Clash On Little Pond, the one Subin mentioned above. He was also the one who introduced me to this community, so thank you!
COLP is currently about 72% complete. I'm working on the animatic and planning the shots at this exact moment, but pretty much everything else is already complete, apart from the final character rigging and animation. The final song is currently in the extremely competent hands of Subin.

We also have two more projects in development: Resilience Satelle and The Gate Sheriff (still very early in development), each at a different stage. Our first delivery will be Clash On Little Pond.

I'll be keeping an eye on this community from now on. Thanks for giving me the chance to share our adventures!

I’m particularly interested in action films myself, so your approach caught my attention. When you design an action sequence in animation, what comes first for you the story and character objective, or the visual idea for the action itself? I think that balance can make a huge difference between an action scene that looks impressive and one that actually moves the story forward.
